Digitalization and Technology Report Diabetes

Relevant to Care | Health Policy | International

Our Goal

Since 2018, the dt-report has been the only annual survey in Europe on the use, attitudes, and needs related to diabetes technology and digitalization. Our goal is not only to describe the current care situation regarding diabetes technologies, but also to identify gaps in care and barriers, to highlight trends, and to generate health policy-relevant data that can have a lasting positive impact on the further provision of diabetes technologies.

Our Target Groups

With the dt-report, we are pursuing a 360° approach in which all those involved in digitalization and technology use in the field of diabetes are addressed. Our survey is therefore aimed at diabetologists, as well as diabetes consultants and diabetes assistants (summarized as “Healthcare Professionals”) and people with diabetes or parents of children with diabetes.

Our Philosophy
With the dt-report, we want to generate data that is relevant to care and can make a difference. We therefore inform all important decision-makers from associations, health insurance companies and politics about the results, so that the collected data from healthcare professionals and people with diabetes can make a difference in the care situation.

The Report

The dt-report is an annual online survey in which healthcare professionals and people with diabetes are asked about the current use of diabetes technology, attitudes towards technologies, and assessments of future developments. The results are presented to the public annually as part of the diatec training event.

Science

The data from the dt-report offer an enormous scientific database. This database allows the creation of publications in scientific journals (e.g. Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics, Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology). The main results and trend analyses are regularly published in scientific journals in order to further increase the scientific reputation of the dt-report.

Associations and Organizations

The implementation of the survey for the dt-report is supported by a number of partners who are actively involved in both the creation of the questions and the invitation to participate in the survey:
